Dan Heffernan (with Dr. Joseph Moldover) presented a live webinar entitled Navigating CONFLICT in the Special Education Process on Tuesday, November 15, 2016 from 7-9:00 p.m. This free webinar was a discussion of the different types of conflicts that can derail the special education process, addressed key issues of conflict avoidance and resolution, and answered live, online questions. All registrants received an on-demand recording of the webinar.

For the seventh consecutive year, Eileen M. Hagerty was co-organizer (with Catherine L. Lyons) of the MCLE’s annual School Law Conference. The conference was held on May 6, 2016 from 9:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m. at MCLE, 10 Winter Place, Boston, and was also available by webcast (either simultaneously or at a later date). In addition to serving as co-chair of the Conference, Ms. Hagerty spoke on the “Education Law Update 2016” panel.

Dan Heffernan (with Drs. Joseph Moldover and D. Scott McLeon) will be presenting a live webinar entitled Educating the Whole Child - Advocating and Caring for Students with Social/Emotional Disabilities on Tuesday, October 27, 2015 from 7-9:00 p.m. This free webinar will be a presentation and interactive discussion focusing on the special education needs of students with social and emotional disabilities. The webinar will also cover assessment issues and strategies; legal and advocacy issues; and concrete methods of supporting students in school. All registrants will receive an on-demand recording of the webinar the day after the live event.
